God Shall Heal Our Nation…

This was the title for the Yorkshire Prayer Conference last August.

We know that nothing happens without faithful pray...ers. We are trying to locate prayer groups within our church network, so that we can access information as to know what the Holy Spirit is speaking through the groups to the church.

Our church is involved in a prayer Weekend at Bawtry Hall on the 9th — 11th April 2010 for a weekend of prayer. Your input could be valuable.

If you meet to pray in groups, no matter how small, we would like to hear from you. So please let Christina Denton know about your group.

Jason, Stacey, big brother T.J and big sister Taffie would like to invite you to celebrate the Baptism of Tessie Smith on the 21st March at the family service.

There will be drinks and cake after the service. We hope to see you there

Every year at the AGM we elect 2 churchwardens from our membership and this year we also need to elect 4 new PCC members.

PCC members John Reddington, Mark Beckitt, and Ben Couper have each served three years and will now under church rules step-down. Current PCC members still serving are (years left to serve in brackets): Pauline Jones (1), Christine Lyle (2), Clare Sturgess (2), Alistair Robertson (2) and Michael Hart (2)

Our Churchwardens Mark Granton and Frank Tuffee will automatically step-down at the AGM as this is an annual election. They may stand for re-election if you ask them!

There are 4 vacancies for members of the PCC. Each person elected will be required to serve 3 years each.

To nominate people to be Churchwarden or PCC member
1. Ask them if they are willing to stand for election
2. Only if they are willing to stand for election, fill-in in nomination form to be found at the back of church (near the main door and the sound desk)

Each candidate must be on the Electoral Roll which is currently being revised. The revised roll will be displayed in the church at least two weeks before the AGM. Candidates must also have signed the Christ Church Network Commitment (values) form. Those proposing also must be on the Electoral Roll of Christ Church.
